Okay...so, I finished this book last night...finally...~shakes fist in the air and mumbles about stupid work interfering with important reading time~ First of all...as mentioned in my previous entries about the books Jacob and Gideon, I absolutely love this series. But then...something happened...and I was ready to burn the entire series without regards to the outcome of the Ruth/Mary situation and intruiging love prospects of Gideon, Damien and Noah. I truly experienced heart palpitations when, about half way through the book, Gideon...my oh so beloved Gideon...whome I have now realized I am completely in love with...DIED!!! O.O! The moment that Noah burst into Gideon's home that had been set to fire, and skid across the floor, falling to his knees and coming face to face with a very DEAD Gideon...I was done. ~laughs~ I can laugh about it now, but at the time, I was in serious distress, and could read no further because I had to go back to work. So I stressed about it the WHOLE damned day...and finally got back to read it shortly after midnight. I stayed up until after 4 am to finish the book. ~sighs~ So...luckily, for me...Gideon survived his ordeal, as well as Legna...and Elijah and Siena got their HEA...so the book, despite putting me into heart failure, pulled through and turned out to be an amazing read. Okay...let's focus on Elijah and Siena...I super super SUPER love both of these two characters. They are so perfect for one another, and Siena is just...awesome. She is so strong and fearless...just the kind of woman Elijah needs. I am so proud of Elijah...completely uncaring about the fact that the only way he could be with Siena was to be married to her as her consort, and not her King. The moment that Elijah found the armband and Siena propositioned him...I was so excited! For both of them! Siena swore that she would never marry...and so did Elijah...and I wanted nothing more that to be able to join in with Jacob, Bella, Legna, Noah and many others in mocking Elijah for his failure to follow through with his word. But...despite the fact that neither wanted to ever be tied down to anyone...their love for one another is so obvious and so damned...cute! ~chuckles~ Yes...that describes this couple...so well. Cute. ~looks around nervously in fear of being smited by the Warrior Captain of the Demons and/or the fearless Queen of the Lycanthropes~ Anyway...Awesome awesome book...unless you are a Gideon fan as I am. It was still awesome...don't get me wrong, but I was unprepared. ~laughs~ 5 OUT OF 5 STARS!  |
