Okay...I didn't think I could love any Demon...including Noah...more than I love Jacob. But Gideon has won me over. Damn! ~cheeks flush deep crimson~ Sorry Jacob! But a new Demon is in town! ...Well...actually...he's an old Demon,the oldest of their kind and he doesn't live in the place as all the other Demons...but...you know what I mean. ~sighs~ Once again...I absolutely love this couple...and each of the characters. Legna had already one me over in Jacob...and Gideon eased his way into my heart very quickly with this book. I love that due to his age he has adopted such an...well...ancient way of thinking. Perhaps this is why is is called the Ancient...other than the fact that he's an old geezer. ~snickers~ But a HOT old Geezer. With silver hair. ~smiles~ Nothing to do with his age... And Legna...that ANYONE... especially Noah would or could ever think of her as a "child"...~scoffs~...she is one of the most caring and level-headed Demons there is! So...let me get this straight...Noah holds such high regard for his baby sister that he has appointed her his most honourable diplomat at his royal court...but he does not trust her judgement in her love for Gideon? ~shakes head in confusion~ Oh Noah... Well, I suppose this particular subject was resolved later in the book...but still...that Noah and Hannah treated their sister like an infant really grated on my nerves. Okay...my absolute favorite part of this book was the very end...during the epilogue...when Gideon is trying to figure out what keeps "ticking" in his head like a metronome. ~chuckles~ "Oh, Legna, " he whispered, "I am such an idiot." ~falls to the floor in a heep, cackling~ To think that Gideon would ever say such a thing...and then to find out WHY he is such an idiot...and his and Legna's reaction. PRICELESS. 5 out of 5 stars!!!  |
