Hi! Tis' I...Adalee. Here to post the very frist 'Weekly Writing Tip', which will be updated every Wednesday from this point on. Hope it helps!
Writing Tip #1: Create a Regular Writing Routine
We all suffer from writer's block from time to time, but you can avoid unnecessary frustration and lack of productivity if you create a regular writing routine.
If you choose a certain time of the day to write, eventually you will fall into a schedule and when writing time comes around, you will (hopefully) slip right into author mode.

Hello again fellow paranormal romance fans. I'm back with another writing tip for your reading pleasure. ~smiles~
Writing Tip #2: Write the Story Backwards
If you have a great story idea, but are having trouble writing the beginning of the story, start at the end. Write the ending first and work your way backwords. You'll have a great story in no time!

Me again. Here for round three. Let's see...what great and wise writing tip do I have for you today? ~ponders~
Writing Tip #3: Do Short Exercises to Stretch Out Your Writing Cramps
Take 10 minutes out of your day to do a short writing exercise to get your creative juices flowing. Write a short two page story about what would happen if your main character got on a plane and realized that their worst enemy was one the same flight, or "interview" one or more of your characters. Or simply write about...gardening. You will feel like you have accomplished a small goal in completing such a task and will have set the mood to jump back into your story.

Whoops...is it Friday already? ~taps chin in thought~ ...my bad. Well...let's just pretend it's Wednesday for a moment and that I didn't drop the ball on this one! ~grins~
*Ahem*
Writing Tip #4: Read, Read, Read
Any creative writing class will teach you that one of the most important things to do when your are a writer is read. And don't limit yourself to just one genre. Even if you intend to write only a certain genre, read everything that you possibly can. Even if it's trash. Read. Good or bad.
Just like a carpenter who is working as an apprentice...the more you study, the more you'll absorb it. Then, when you write, you'll know if it's good or bad. If it's bad, throw it out the window and try again.
But NEVER stop reading.

Soooo...I missed last week, because I was UBER busy. It completely slipped my mind. But I am back this week to continue with my Weekly Writing Tips.
Writing Tip #5: Keep a 'Word Journal'
As a writer, adding new words to your vocabulary is a must. Keep a 'Word Journal' to add interesting words that you come across in your reading. Writing these words down will make it more likely that you incorporate them into your writing.
Do not simply rely on a thesarus to offer you diversity. As you come across new words in your reading, you should create a curiousity about their origins, meanings and various connotations to fully understand their denotation and the context in which they should be used.
